Duration and Eligibility for admission:

  • The Architectural course is of minimum 5 academic years of 10 semesters of approximately 16 working weeks of one semester.
  • Candidate is admitted to the course with minimum 50% marks in aggregate passed in the examination of 10+2 scheme of senior school certificate examination or equivalent with Mathematics as a subject of as a subject of examination of the 10+2 level
    OR
    10+3 ( diploma) recognized by Central/State governments with 50% aggregate marks.
    OR
    International Baccalaureate Diploma after 10 years of schooling with not less than 50% marks aggregate and Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination.

National Aptitude test in Architecture

As per minimum standards prescribed by council of Architecture ( COA ) under Architects Act 1972 admission of candidate to first year of 5 years degree course shall be subject to passing an aptitude test in Architecture. The students are admitted to the course on the basis of marks obtained in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture ( NATA ) administered by COA.

The aptitude test in Architecture shall consist of 2 paper.

  1. Test I – Asthetic sensitivity – 100 marks – duration one hour
  2. Test II – Drawing – 100 marks – duration of test – two hours

Weight age

The following shall be the weightage
  • Architectural Aptitude ( NATA ) --- 50% ( Max.)
  • Qualifying examination --- 50% ( Max.)
In order to pass an Aptitude test in Architecture must obtain a minimum of 40% marks.
